The Role
As Head of Department – General Medicine, you will:
Lead with Vision: Provide strategic leadership, driving innovation and excellence in patient care, research, and education.Foster Academic Excellence: Promote and actively engage in research and teaching initiatives in partnership with the affiliated university, mentoring the next generation of clinicians and researchers.Inspire and Develop Teams: Lead and mentor a team of dedicated medical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.Advance Clinical Services: Oversee departmental operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, holistic, and patient-centered care.Drive Quality Improvement: Champion initiatives that enhance clinical outcomes and departmental efficiency.Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with hospital leadership and university partners to align departmental goals with organizational and academic objectives.About You
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional with:
Specialist qualifications in General Medicine and registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA.A proven track record of leadership in clinical, academic, and administrative settings.A strong passion for research and medical education, with experience supervising postgraduate trainees or contributing to academic initiatives.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.A commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in clinical and academic endeavors.Apply Now
