About Us:
The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
Corrections Victoria also sets strategy, policy and standards for the management of the state's system of correctional facilities whilst also developing programs for the management and rehabilitation of prisoners and the community-based supervision of offenders.
About the Role:
At the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of four streams – Records/Property, Finance/Stores and Administration.
Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities to those staff, and operational flexibility to the prison.
This position will require direct prisoner contact and while it will generally operate on a Monday to Friday basis, it may involve weekend and public holiday work which would be remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Agreement.
Some of your duties will include:
Collating Case Management Review Committee schedules and communicate scheduling to the location.
Providing secretariat services for a range of Case Management Review Committee Meetings.
Assisting the Offender Management Supervisor in specific prisoner assessment functions in accordance with Sentence Management Procedures.

About You:
As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
Well-developed computer literacy.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
A working knowledge of PIMS is highly desirable.
Ability to notate meeting discussions accurately.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment is desirable.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in case management and/or administrative experience is desirable but not mandatory.
