Lead the implementation of our strategic Asset PlanNewly created senior leadership positionAttractive remuneration packageAs the Head of Asset Management, you will be the trusted steward of our $4.7bn asset portfolio, ensuring every stage of its lifecycle is optimised for best value and growth. This diverse asset portfolio includes property, infrastructure, furniture and equipment.
This is a strategic leadership role where you will work collaboratively to develop, implement and deliver on our Asset Plan and future focused strategies, working closely with stakeholders to transform our strategic asset management system and processes.
You will lead a team of skilled technical professionals, providing specialist advice on asset requirements to ensure our assets remain safe, accessible, sustainable, and cost-effective. This leadership role is crucial in shaping the future of our city, directly impacting how the community enjoys and utilises assets across Melbourne – leaving a lasting legacy.
What you will bring… Demonstrated experience in leading a best practice and strategic approach to enterprise asset management across a complex asset portfolio, preferably in a Local Government context.Applied knowledge of asset management trends, issues and opportunities particularly those related to strategic asset planning and associated systems.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.Conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret data, analysis and trends to support evidence-based planning and decision making.Analytical and lateral thinking skills and the ability to take the initiative, drive change and implement innovations.If you're passionate about delivering community outcomes and ready to lead transformative change, this could be the role for you
