The Opportunity:This is a unique opportunity for an electrical estimator with experience estimating T1 and T2 projects (up to 25m AUD for the electrical component) to join a well-established Tier One national electrical contracting company.
This is an office-based position (Sydney-western suburbs).The Role:Report to the Division Manager and work closely with the DM and another experienced Electrical Estimator to provide accurate and competitive estimates to continuously win a range of tenders.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that the cost of supplies and labour is sound, and the projects are sustainable and profitable.This is a senior estimating opportunity with a pathway to progress to the role of Estimating Manager.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and develop accurate job cost estimates meeting all agreed timeframes, ensuring all profit margins and cost objectives are met on all tenders.Assist management with pursuing tender leads and opportunities.Assist in tender preparations, presentations, negotiations, and submission.Assist in the selection of suitable suppliers/contractors and always obtain best pricing.Be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with key industry personnel.Skills / Experience required:Electrical estimating experience of T1 and T2 projects up to the value of $25m AUD for the electrical component.Previous experience as an Estimating Manager/Supervisor/Team Lead will be highly regarded.Excellent planning and prioritising ability with a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with a range of internal/external stakeholders.To be considered for this opportunity, please apply by uploading a MS Word resume.
