About the opportunityWe have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced, resilient and innovative leader to join us as the Senior Coordinator Civil Operations.
You will play a large role in delivering our vision to be the best Council in Australia.
This is a brilliant opportunity to deliver high-quality services to our community, and to be the key lead to deliver civil asset maintenance activities.
We are looking for a candidate with:Extensive experience in local government, particularly in dealing with civil operations with day labour and contractorsExperience working with unionsA solid track record over several years in previous positionsKnowledge about mobility and telematics.Qualifications and experienceRelevant trade vocational or tertiary qualificationsDemonstrated extensive experience in preparing detailed operational reports and work program budgetsDemonstrated extensive experience working with and leading multi-disciplined operational work teamsDemonstrated experience delivering civil operations worksAbility to work within a team environmentDemonstrated experience in delivering high level customer service in an operational work contextDemonstrated experience using computer programs such as Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of applicable legislation and regulations for civil maintenance work projectsClass C driver's licenceAbility to work flexible hoursGood understanding of WH&S Act and regulations.Experience working in local government civil work/operational works at a senior levelExperience developing and deploying operational project management plansExperience in developing strategic plans for delivery of unit operationsExperience in dealing with unions and resolution of staff matters.Remuneration and benefitsThe salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
Entry level for this position starts at $2,426.22 per weekLeaseback vehicleOpportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangementEmployee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.Our commitment to safetyBlacktown City Council is committed to safety.
