Discovery Parks is currently looking to appoint qualified Chefs or Cooks on a full-time basis for their Cloncurry properties in QLD.The successful applicants will have a genuine love of the industry and of cooking.These are all full-time roles offering a 38 hour working week with two days off per week.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Food preparation and cooking to order during service, private parties, and functionsPreparation, seasoning and cooking of all dishes in our restaurantAble to work pans, grills, fryers efficientlyChecking quality of raw materials and weighing ingredientsAssist with staff training and mentoringAssist in menu design, implementation and costing both food and labourAssist in stock control and monitoring wastageStaff rostersHACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygieneSupplier liaisonEnsuring safe work practices with focus on workplace health and safetyFollow hygienic food handling practicesIt is essential that applicants possess a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and must have at least 3 years experience in commercial kitchens post qualification.The salary range will be between $70,000 - $80,000 per year plus super depending on experience and role offered.Benefits:Discounted accommodation for you, your family & friends across the G'Day network of parksDiscounted products from our G'Day Rewards PartnersWe believe in creating experiences that people will always want more of.
