The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess, and treat patients' injury or disease.
An opportunity has become available for qualified Radiographers to join the Nepean Medical Imaging team.
As a Radiographer, you will provide a high-quality imaging service that is patient-focused, according to the objectives and policies of the Nepean and Blue Mountains Local Health District.
The incumbent will ensure that radiographic standards are optimised and ensure that the computer record for each patient is correct and entered into the Radiology Information System and/or PACS.
Any other administrative duties associated with the examination will also be carried out.
At all times you will ensure that all images are correctly identified and labelled with appropriate markers and liaise with the Chief Radiographer and Director of Medical Imaging as appropriate to ensure that equipment is maintained and fully functional.

What you will bring to the role: Possess the following qualifications:
A Degree in Medical Radiation Science in Diagnostic RadiographyRegistered or eligible for registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a Medical Radiation PractitionerEligible for I14 Radiation Licence from NSW EPAPrevious experience in a hospital environment including areas such as Theatre, CT, Mobile, and Trauma Radiography.
Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety, and Infection Control in a Radiology contextDemonstrated ability to work in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to problem solve and manage time effectively in a clinical environmentEmployment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
