You will be responsible for supporting and managing the food services team to ensure a safe, high-quality food service that guarantees the overall customer experience is of the highest standard.A week in the life of your new roleBased at Rowes Bay in Townsville, you will be responsible for:Producing high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals.Being flexible to work with both cook fresh and cook chill.Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always maintained.Preparing specialized meals in accordance with residents' care plans.Providing leadership and supervision of the day-to-day activities of the food services team.Communicating regularly with residents and family.Managing the ordering, delivery, and stock control in line with catering budget.About youCertificate IV in commercial cookery or demonstrated experience in commercial catering or other food services.Hold a Food Safety Supervisor certificate.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as a member of the team, prioritizing own work and the work of others within established policies, guidelines, and procedures.Demonstrated experience in positive staff motivation and enhancing team performance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Our BenefitsOur culture is both supportive and collaborative where you can make your role your own.
