Position Overview: As our Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our culinary standards.
Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will lead daily kitchen operations with a hands-on approach.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation & Quality Control: Oversee daily food preparation and production, ensuring our high standards and food safety guidelines are consistently met.
Leadership & Team Management: Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff while leading the team during service periods, especially in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Collaboration: Work closely with Executive Chef and staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our members and guests.
Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
Inventory Management: Oversee stock ordering, manage invoicing, and ensure accurate inventory levels.
What We're Looking For: To thrive in this role, you will need: Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a high-volume a la carte setting.
Qualifications: Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse kitchen team.
Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure.
Budget Management: An understanding of food costs, budgets, and profitability strategies.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration and support across teams.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to upholding our standards for food quality, hygiene, and personal presentation.
Customer Service Focus: A passion for providing an outstanding dining experience that aligns with our Club's standards.
