Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.Join our Procurement team on a 24-month fixed term contract in Perth CBD, as a Senior Project Buyer. This position will be supporting some of the largest Signalling and Infrastructure projects across ANZ providing efficient and secured tools for all internal and external-centric procurement activities. The Senior Project Buyer has strong experience managing the supplier selection process, creating supplier contracts and managing contract execution, as well as implementing the commodities strategy.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and launch Request for Quotation with suppliers.Support global supplier panel relationship and lead project negotiation as per Australian and UK Standards.Support commodity strategy and panel elaboration as well as consolidate the commodity needs and inputs.Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances).Qualifications, Skills and Experience:Strong experience defining procurement strategy and supporting make-or-buy decisions.Demonstrated experience leading negotiations and stakeholder engagement.Previous experience as Sourcing Specialist within maintenance or manufacturing environments.Solid knowledge of Procurement Australian and UK Standards.Applications are now open until 01 November 2024 with shortlisting to commence upon application.Important to note an agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company as Alstom are an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourage women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, people with disability and other minority groups to apply.As part of the application process, you will be required to undergo pre-employment reference and medical checks, including drug and alcohol testing.
