Physiotherapist - Grade 2 (Women's Health)An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Women's Health Physiotherapist to join our team as a Grade 2 Women's Health Physiotherapist in a full or part time temporary capacity until May 2025.
About the role This Grade 2 Physiotherapy position offers you the opportunity to provide care for women in the inpatient wards and outpatient clinics at Joan Kirner Women's and Children's Hospital.
This mixed caseload includes peri-natal care in the inpatient setting; and pelvic floor and pregnancy related musculoskeletal conditions in the outpatient setting.
The outpatient component of this position includes group exercise and education classes for pregnancy body care, aquatic physiotherapy, and Pilates.
For appropriately trained and experienced clinicians, there is the additional opportunity to observe the multidisciplinary Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injury Clinic and our Advanced Practice Urogynaecology clinics for further growth and development.
Learning and development are integral to the culture of our department, and we will support you to build your clinical, supervision and leadership skills.
You will provide supervision and training to Grade 1 Physiotherapists and students and be encouraged to participate in our Research and Quality program, stream portfolios, and department committees.
You will be well supported by Grade 3 and 4 Women's Health Physiotherapists dedicated to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
To be Successful in this Role you will: Have experience working in Women's Health Physiotherapy (hospital experience is desirable)Have commenced or completed a Post graduate certificate/Masters in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, or equivalentDemonstrate experience in the supervision of staff and studentsDemonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Work collaboratively with the Physiotherapy and Multidisciplinary teamsEnsure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and Live Best Care frameworkContribute to a culture that values ongoing learning and be part of a positive workplaceCome and join our innovative, supportive, and friendly department, with our strong positive workplace culture, and help us continue to improve the lives of our community in the West.
