In our total audio business we are building talk radio for the next generation across 2GB, 3AW, 4BC and 6PR.
Nine is also an active participant in Australian consumer marketplaces through our majority shareholding in Domain and our ownership of Drive.You will work in a busy and stimulating environment responding swiftly to resolve production incidents as required and be available to support your products and services as needed.
You will continuously learn and improve on your skills in emerging technologies and new toolsets and share knowledge and learnings with other engineers.Job DescriptionThe Nine Publishing Technology team continually delivers and maintains premium, market leading digital products, including: smh.com.au, theage.com.au and afr.com.au across multiple platforms and systems.Software Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and delivery of products and services that delight our customers, and grow the business.You will be responsible for developing high-quality, scalable and high performing solutions that align to business and technology goals.
You will be working with technology leaders and other senior engineers to ensure consistency of our practices and processes across the Publishing Technology team.QualificationsDegree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.Previous experience in web/software design and development.Experience in OO Programming Language such as Java/C++.Desired skills:Previous experience with several general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Golang, Python, Ruby, Node.js, AngularJS is highly regarded.Experience in designing and architecting high availability solutions.Experience in building and integrating high performance REST APIs.Experience in development and maintenance of technical documentation.Experience in cloud platforms, containers and continuous delivery.Knowledge and experience of DevOps.Understand the value and importance of well tested code.Additional InformationOur Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion:At Nine, we are committed to fostering a workforce that embraces all aspects of diversity and inclusion and where practices are equitable to ensure our people experience a sense of belonging.
