We are looking for an experienced Clinical Communications Specialist to join our team, focused on selling SPOK's industry-leading suite of solutions, including the Operator Console, Enterprise Directory, and On-Call Rostering, to large hospitals and healthcare institutions.In this role, you will be at the forefront of transforming how hospitals manage communication, providing vital support to clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth, effective, and secure operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional with a passion for healthcare technology to significantly impact patient care by optimising communication systems within hospitals.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Solution Selling:Lead the end-to-end sales process for SPOK's Console products, focusing on enhancing hospital communication systems, improving patient safety, and boosting operational efficiency.Understand and articulate the value proposition of SPOK's solutions, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each hospital and healthcare organisation.Develop customised proposals that demonstrate how SPOK's solutions can resolve specific communication challenges within large, complex healthcare environments.Client Engagement:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within large hospitals, including CIOs, IT departments, clinical directors, and hospital administrators.Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the process of adopting new technologies and integrating them into their existing workflows.Conduct regular check-ins and account reviews to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional SPOK solutions.Needs Analysis:Conduct comprehensive assessments of current hospital communication workflows, identifying pain points and areas for improvement.Collaborate with hospital staff to understand their specific needs, and recommend appropriate SPOK solutions to streamline communication, improve efficiency, and enhance patient care.Work closely with technical teams to ensure the solutions proposed are feasible, scalable, and aligned with the hospital's long-term goals.Product Demonstrations:Deliver dynamic, engaging presentations and live product demonstrations to hospital stakeholders, showcasing how SPOK's solutions can address their communication challenges.Provide hands-on demonstrations that highlight the ease of use, reliability, and security of SPOK's products, using real-world scenarios and case studies.Address any technical questions or concerns, and provide expert guidance on the implementation and integration of SPOK's solutions within the hospital's existing infrastructure.Sales Strategy:Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for your designated territory, aligned with SPOK's overall business objectives.Identify and prioritise high-potential accounts, focusing on large hospitals with complex communication needs.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine your approach and ensure a competitive edge.Work closely with SPOK's product development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial contact through to implementation and ongoing support.Collaborate with technical teams to ensure a deep understanding of the products and their capabilities, enabling you to address client needs effectively.Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and feedback from the field, contributing to the continuous improvement of SPOK's solutions.Stay informed about the latest trends in healthcare communication, including advancements in operator consoles, enterprise directory management, and on-call rostering.Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to anticipate changes in the market and adapt your sales strategy accordingly.Participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to network with potential clients and stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in healthcare technology.Qualifications:Experience:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare technology sales, with a focus on clinical communications, contact centres, or related fields.Proven track record of success in selling complex technology solutions to large hospitals and healthcare organisations.Experience in managing long sales cycles and navigating complex buying processes within large institutions.Knowledge:In-depth understanding of hospital communication workflows, including operator consoles, enterprise directory management, and on-call rostering.Familiarity with the challenges and pain points faced by hospitals in managing communication and the impact of effective communication on patient safety and operational efficiency.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare communication, such as HIPAA, and how they apply to SPOK's solutions.Skills:Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions in a clear, compelling manner.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess client needs, identify opportunities, and develop tailored solutions.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior hospital stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and partner.Customer-Centric:A deep commitment to customer satisfaction, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional service.A track record of successfully managing client accounts and ensuring the ongoing success and satisfaction of customers.Results-Oriented:Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a competitive, complex environment.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
