Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to oversee and manage E&I engineering activities within the oil and gas sector.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning) projects for greenfield and brownfield facilities.
This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in line with safety, quality, and industry standards.
Scope Delivery :
Ensure all electrical and instrumentation (E&I) engineering deliverables are aligned with the project scope and client requirements, maintaining adherence to quality standards and contractual obligations.
Oversee the preparation and review of engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Project Execution and Timelines :
Drive the execution of E&I activities, from detailed design through to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project schedules and milestones.
Proactively identify potential risks or delays and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
Team Mentorship and Development :
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
Promote knowledge-sharing and skill development within the team to enhance overall project performance and innovation.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
Coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment on project goals and technical requirements.
Facilitate regular progress reviews and ensure clear communication of project updates to all stakeholders.
Process Optimization :
Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline E&I processes, enhance efficiency, and meet or exceed project objectives.
Drive adherence to safety and compliance protocols, ensuring that all activities align with international standards and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector, with significant EPCC project involvement.
Proven expertise in electrical and instrumentation system design, installation, and commissioning.
Comprehensive knowledge of international standards, hazardous area design, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in engineering tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, and instrumentation software.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
