Job Description
Supervise the Accounts Payable department and ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
Maintain and manage vendor relationships.
Oversee the monthly closing of accounts payable records.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
Manage and mentor a small team of Accounts Payable Officers Provide training, guidance and support to team members.
Prepare reports and summaries to assist the finance department in end of month reporting.
The Successful Applicant
A successful AP Supervisor should have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Proven experience in an accounts payable supervisor, manager or team leader role.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated Energy/Mining industry experience or JDE systems experience.
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
