These systems rely on Technology, and we are now taking the next steps in our technology journey to deliver foundational technology uplifts and support transformational change.We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team on a 2-year fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Private Cloud Platforms Team Lead, you will maintain platform tools, processes, and solutions to meet high standards of performance, stability, reliability, and security.About the roleProvide CI/CD and DevOps platform and tooling supportAutomate infrastructure operations and DevOps processes, ensuring solutions remain relevant and comply with the Bank's IT policies, standards, and frameworksAutomate Infrastructure as Code services and capabilities, including establishing and maturing design guardrails, frameworks, and patternsRemediate risks and vulnerabilitiesMaintain a working knowledge of the IT Infrastructure platforms, tools, and software packages usedWork collaboratively with stakeholders to refine business and IT requirementsChampion the development, design, and delivery of software defined infrastructure initiatives to improve IT Infrastructure operational efficiency, security, scalability, and stabilityMaintain technical documentation and associated knowledge sourcesAbout youMust have experience in cloud and on-premise technical IT infrastructure engineering, preferably within Banking and GovernmentMust have experience in developing, managing, and supporting Infrastructure as Code solutions and release pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps Services and ArtifactoryMust have hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and ChefExpert level experience using scripting languages to automate tasks relating to large scale IT solutions in complex environmentsExperience with Agile methodologies and working in Agile/Scrum/KanBan teamsWorking knowledge of CI/CD patterns using tools such as Git, Gitlab, JiraWorking knowledge of Operating Systems configuration, including Windows and Linux (RHEL)You have at least 4 years hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, or infrastructure automation operations or project deliveryYou are experienced in developing within an enterprise SDLC frameworkYou are experienced in providing operational support within an ITIL frameworkAbout the teamAt the RBA, Platform Engineering is key to automating the way in which we deploy, manage, govern, and destroy our systems as they move through their lifecycle.
The Platform Engineering team maintains IT solutions spanning CI/CD, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, technology maintenance and automation services.
