National Service Manager

Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
As the National Service Manager - Cranes, you will be responsible for managing the service and maintenance operations for a fleet of cranes across Australia.
This is a full-time position based in Sydney, with the opportunity for some remote work.
You will oversee a team of service technicians and ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our crane maintenance services to clients nationwide.
What you'll be doing
Manage and coordinate the service and maintenance activities for client's crane fleet, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in optimal working condition.
Oversee the work of service technicians, providing guidance, training and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to maximise the uptime and reliability of cranes.
Monitor and analyse service performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Manage workplace safety and ensure compliance.
Manage contractors and their compliance with safety procedures.
Ensure profitability of all Service Contracts is achieved in accordance with KPIs.
Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure we are delivering exceptional service.
Manage crane parts inventory and procurement process to ensure the availability of necessary components.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our crane service operations.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience (8+ years) in crane service and maintenance management, preferably within the engineering, manufacturing, transport or logistics industries.
Strong technical knowledge of crane systems and components, including hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of service technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and maintenance best practices.
Relevant qualifications in engineering, maintenance, or a related field are highly desirable.
