Hey YouReporting to the Allied Health Operations Manager and under the supervision and guidance from the Team Leader and/or proficient BSPs, you will be working with the development and formulation of individualised behavioural support plans to both increase a person's quality of life and reduce the occurrence and impact of behaviours of concern.
This is a rewarding role where you will be able to support and help improve the quality of life for individuals by providing specialist guidance and interventions aimed at improving behavioral outcomes.
About YouOur ideal Core Behaviour Support Practitioner will be able to demonstrate: Knowledge of support planning, working within a person-centred frameworkExcellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills, e.g., experience writing reports.Ability to implement person-centred approaches to service delivery and to support others to understand and implement this approach.Demonstrate a productive, flexible approach to achieving outcomes in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of practice or Diploma in a relevant field of practice with at least 3 years of postgraduate experience working with people with disabilities and their supports.Current registration with the relevant professional body (if you are an Allied Health professional under AHPRA, this is mandatory).Successful accreditation as a Core practitioner in accordance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.The following requirements are essential: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearanceCurrent NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificateCurrent Working with Children CheckFor a copy of the position description, please email and quote job number – Behaviour Support Practitioner job ID 1242genU Benefits & CultureHere at genU we're a group of passionate, driven people who want everyone's lives to be happier and healthier, especially people with disabilities, the ageing, and those experiencing disadvantage.
