Senior Site Planner

Position: Senior Site Planner Company: A global professional services company of energy, chemicals, and resources experts headquartered in Australia.
Roster: 2:1, 10.5 hours/day Location: Ext.
from any location in the East Coast (i.e., Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney) to NSW Employment Type: Contractor Contract length: Initially 12 Months - Subjected to extensions Role Responsibilities This role is essential for supporting the planning and overall Project Controls department.
You will help expand the existing team and knowledge base to create a robust Project Controls environment.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant mining and mineral sands project while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule with a 2:1 roster.
Your key responsibilities may include: Collaborating with the Engineering and Delivery teams to ensure effective transfer of project information.
Providing management with insights and support regarding schedule trends and forecasts.
Delivering timely and accurate forecasts to internal stakeholders and clients.
Developing schedules for Engineering phases, including FEED and Detailed Design.
Creating and updating resource-loaded project schedules, adhering to client's governance while justifying resource requirements and forecasts.
Reporting on portfolio and project performance, including Earned Value Management, S-Curves, and Resource Histograms.
Maintaining baselines and managing change, while overseeing the integration between the cost system and Primavera.
Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Required Skills and Qualifications Proven background across multiple sectors, including Mining , Oil & Gas , and Infrastructure .
Extensive experience in sustaining capital and major refurbishment projects .
Proficient in Primavera P6 , with significant hands-on experience.
Familiarity with EcoSys is a plus, along with a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite .
Tertiary qualification in Planning and Scheduling for complex programs.
Many years of experience in project planning, particularly in engineering schedule development and management within mining .
Proficient in change management , baseline management , schedule development , risk evaluation , and Earned Value Management .
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
Enthusiastic team player committed to following project and schedule governance.
Customer focused.
