Job Title: Senior Technical Business Analyst
Location: Sydney (Hybrid: 2-3 days in the office)
Contract: 12M contract, competitive market rates
About the Role:We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to play a pivotal role within a key project team.
You will be the lynchpin, bridging the gap between technology and business teams, focusing heavily on digital channels and driving long-term initiatives across UI/UX and regulatory requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a tech team in a large, complex enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with digital channel teams to enhance customer interfaces Lead workshops, facilitating discussions to achieve cohesive understanding across the team.
Engage with internal channels and navigate deeper into the organization to drive key projects.
Interface regularly with various stakeholders, including the tech team, operations, and security, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide thought leadership, actively challenging the status quo and offering innovative solutions.
Assist with testing and ensure that project objectives are met.
Work on risk and regulatory projects, particularly in Financial Crime (KYC), with a focus on improving financial crime processes.
What We're Looking For:
6 + years Senior BA experience Strong technical background Experience in large enterprises within financial services or insurance is essential.
Strong understanding of risk and regulatory projects-experience in KYC is highly beneficial.
Proven experience with digital channels and UI/UX , with a "channel-first" mindset.
Solid communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent facilitation skills-must be able to lead workshops and discussions.
Ability to engage in Agile environments and understand tooling like Jira and Confluence to move work efficiently through teams.
Knowledge of data modeling and ability to break down complex technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable in an agile environment, with a solid understanding of Agile principles .
Not a back-end candidate ; this role requires strong digital and front-end experience.
Advantageous experience:
Knowledge or experience in financial crime , KYC , or regulatory risk projects.
Experience engaging with security and operations teams .
Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge ideas and think critically Experience in thought leadership within large organizations.
