Our opportunity As Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for the interior design and documentation on projects in conjunction with the Project Architect.
This role is a 12 month parental leave cover.
In this role you will:
Lead the development of new innovative ideas for inclusion in future projects, and direct and oversee work undertaken by the teamResponsible for the interior design and documentation on projects in conjunction with the Project Architect/CoordinatorCompile the interior design brief in conjunction with the Project Delivery team and oversee its integration into the overall project briefAssist with and contribute to the design of internal layoutsEnsure all finishes schemes are checked and reviewed by Mirvac DesignAssist the Project Architect in reviewing and preparing interior design related specifications required for tenderImplement and monitor QMSAssist the Project Architect in ensuring that the design complies with all Mirvac fitness-for-purpose standardsEnsure all documentation approvals and sign off, and coordinate appropriately with suppliers and sub-contractorsEnsure all S&M material is consistent with documented finishes and fittingsCarry out sufficient site inspections to ensure design intent is metPrepare and monitor interior design team programs and drawing schedules to meet building construction programs and tender package requirements as guidedMonitor and ensure agreed Interior Design project resource budgets are met in conjunction with the Senior Interior DesignerMonitor and ensure agreed interior design construction budgets are met in conjunction with the Cost PlannerParticipate and encourage participation in customer events where appropriateWork with the Marketing & Sales Team to seek to understand our buyers and their requirementsDrive implementation of approved innovation and benchmarking from research and customer feedback.Build strong relationships within the Mirvac Project Team and other Mirvac Divisions commensurate with the level of the designerYour point of difference The successful candidate will have solid experience in the Design/Architecture/Property Development industry and relevant tertiary qualifications in the Interior Design field.
You have extensive experience working as an Interior Designer with proven computing skills and experience using design software.
Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards and regulations is a must.
You have a high degree of financial acumen to work with budgets, as well as experience in documentation and archiving management.
You work well within a team environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
