Job Description About the Opportunity: We are excited to announce that Acciona has been named the preferred contractor to deliver a major wharf infrastructure project at Port Hedland for Pilbara Ports Authority.
This marks the first stage in the development of the Lumsden Point General Cargo Facility and Logistics Hub (LCGF), a transformative multi-user facility designed to:
Enable the export of critical minerals.Support the import of renewable energy infrastructure.Facilitate the import/export of general cargo.Accommodate the import of bulk liquids such as fuel and chemicals.To help us deliver this project, we are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our team.
Reporting into the Project Director, you will be responsible for planning, managing and controlling engineering design during the procurement phases of the project, ensuring appropriate engineering design solutions are developed.
You will also be the primary contact with stakeholders through delivery of the design during construction delivery.
Key accountabilities for the position: Participate in the selection and appointment of project consultants.Review and monitor program and quality performance of appointed design consultants.Actively work with project delivery teams to ensure smart engineering and staging concepts are well planned and executed.Monitor cost planning to produce cost-efficient design output.Monitor and report design costs.Required Skills and Competencies Relevant Tertiary qualifications.Minimum 10 years' experience in the commercial/infrastructure construction industry, with abilities in general management and design/construction project management.Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively with others.Presented problem solving / analytical skills.What we offer At ACCIONA, we offer a dynamic and challenging work environment where our employees can grow and develop their careers.
