De Goey Contractors are industry experts in fabrication, protective coating, process piping and concrete remediation, in all aspects of coal mining & terminal maintenance projects, port maintenance, manufacturing and labour hire.

Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.
As the Estimator you will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive estimates & tenders for fabrication of structural steel and piping works, as well as resource/mining construction projects.
The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting project planning and execution by providing detailed cost estimates and analysis.

This permanent position is based at our Mackay Paget workshop.

The desired experience we are seeking: To thrive in this position, you will possess the following:
5-10 years relevant experience within the fabrication construction industry Experience within resource/mining or industrial environment The ability to read/interpret structural engineering drawings Exposure to working in a lively, adaptable, and fast-paced service-based organisation Take the necessary level of care & responsibility required to produce accurate material take-offs and complete detailed estimations Have an understanding of the fabrication process & technicalities for accurate allocation of fabrication man-hours Commercial awareness, supporting an organisation through growth and in a competitive industry Medium to high level input and computer skills are required for this role.
Previous AutoCAD experience would be desirable To be successful in this role you will have a high attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
You must have strong time management skills, limiting errors and keeping on schedule with the ability to work independently or as part of a team focused on a common goal.
