We have an opportunity available for a Senior Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our corporate division.
This will be offered as a 12 month fixed-term contract with the potential to extend, based at our office on Collins Street, Melbourne.

About The Role Reporting directly to the Payroll Accounting and Compliance Lead, you will be facilitating the running, delivery and controlling of the payment of wages and salaries, and to ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of related payroll records whilst adhering to the relevant statutory legislation and Service Streams Policies and Procedures.
In this role you will be responsible for: 1.
Payroll Compliance Ensuring all payments are made in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policy and Procedures, Fair Work, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and other relevant legislative requirements.
Identifying and consolidating payroll compliance risks and issues.
Identifying process improvement strategies with current systems and processes.
Assisting with building of newly identified framework for all new payroll governance & compliance controls.
Maintaining award data and ensure wages payments comply with EBA or Awards.
Planning and implementing all payroll changes in relation to new and amended industrial instruments.

Monitoring Payroll Compliance Inbox Overseeing the queries relating to Third party requirements.
Responding to escalated payroll compliance queries.

Payroll Governance Duties Assisting in preparing journal entries and reconcile payroll related Gl accounts as set by Payroll Accountant.
Checking pay run variance report for discrepancies.
Reviewing and updating payroll processes on a regular basis to maintain continuous improvement.
Assisting to process monthly pays as required.
About You: Our ideal candidate will have: Experience in a complex corporate or shared services environment processing high volumes of weekly, fortnightly & monthly pay runs.
Experience with Chris21 or Workday would be highly desirable.
Experience with month end processing such as Portable Long Service Leave, Severance, Income Protection, Payroll Tax and Super processing is essential.
Tertiary qualifications, ideally in a business, finance or accounting discipline would be highly desirable.
