Simply put, we believe your job should add meaning to your life, not consume itAbout the role:The primary role of the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is to support the President of AVT Australia with financial reporting, analysis, and assisting in making good business decisions.
Overall responsibility includes financial reporting, management, forecasting, variance analysis and other related financial reporting.
This position will be vital to AVT Australia, by consolidating both CAS and Non-CAS financials.
Assisting in the management of inventory, financial reserve, rate management, multiyear planning, Fiscal year planning, EAC reviews, R&O reviews.Responsibilities:BUSINESS OPERATIONSSupport annual financial planning process, monthly forecasting, and financial close reporting requirementsWork with the U.S. corporate finance team to ensure all program data is up to dateCompile, analyze, interpret, and report Sector rate-related financial data.
Assist the President in developing standard reporting and analysis which helps enable the businessCollect, organize, correlate and report on data from various sources in an effective, concise mannerManage preparation of financial data for senior management, to include:Monthly Sector Financial ReportingSector data variance analysis to support corporate needs - Quarterly earnings call, board meetingsPerform ad hoc analysis and reporting, Assist the President in getting ahead of financial trends and helping better predict financial performancePROJECT/PROGRAM MANAGEMENTPrepare financial models to support business planning exercises, to include multi-year planningManage the sector's EAC process, assisting with the evaluation and ROI considerations associated with Research and Development and other business activityManage the sector's R&O evaluation processLEADERSHIPMentor and provide guidance and oversight to junior team membersUnderstanding of good program management practices and able to be an evangelist within the businessAbility to build senior level financial and business presentations that are clear and conciseEssential qualifications and experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar fieldMinimum 10+ years relevant experienceExperience at a government services contractor in a finance roleExperience with auditors and responding to data calls and strong communicationProficiency with Excel functions at an advanced level, including linked workbooks, large multi-worksheet models, lookups, and pivot tablesUnderstanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Proficiency with financial and accounting reporting systems such as SAP B1 (highly desired), CostPoint, Oracle/Hyperion Financial, COGNOS, QLIK, Smartview, GovWin, and othersDemonstrated ability to balance competing and changing priorities, move quickly amongst various taskings, and meet deadlinesAdept at working independently as well as in a team environmentProfessional/effective communication – written and oralPossession of excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to consider and identify innovative solutions to improve operation, all efficienciesApplicants must have full, permanent work rights in Australia.
Compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is applicable to this role.
Applicants must be able to obtain National Police and other related security clearances that apply to the role.
