St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2024.
The college is organized into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).
St Francis has just completed Stage 7 of Building Development and offers state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.
A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025.
The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of committed professionals in the Mathematics faculty.
The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students, and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organization of the school.
Essential Selection CriteriaThe preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:
Has a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning.Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.Displays an ability to lead learning and foster innovation and creativity in a collaborative environment.Has a comprehensive understanding of NESA requirements and a proven ability to implement effective teaching programs.Knowledge and understanding of requirements of all courses within the relevant Mathematics curriculum.General CapabilitiesWell-developed interpersonal skills.Well-developed oral and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational skills.QualificationsAppropriate qualifications for teaching courses of Mathematics to HSC Level.Level C Accreditation aligned in accordance with the 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong' policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.Working with Children ClearanceThis role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.
