Payment Assurance Officer

About the company- Our logistics and freight transport services client is looking for Payment Assurance Officer in Sydney both on contract basis.
Position Title: Payment Assurance Officer Department: Finance/Accounting Fixed term Contract- 6 months Position Overview: We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Payment Assurance Officer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data entry, proficiency in Excel, and the ability to generate reports to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payment processing.
This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates looking to start their career in finance or accounting with a focus on payment assurance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities : Accurately enter and maintain payment data into internal systems or databases.
Reconcile payment records and ensure all transactions are correctly processed and documented.
Assist in preparing and generating financial reports related to payments, transactions, and account balances.
Verify payment accuracy and troubleshoot any discrepancies or errors.
Ensure that payment processes align with internal controls and compliance standards.
Support the team in improving and automating reporting processes.
Participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications : Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
STAR method experience required Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
Education & Experience : A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
