This will see you join a multifaceted service and will be a part-time position working 20 hours a week.Salary range: $41.87- $57.80 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefitsWhat you'll be doingAs an experienced Occupational Therapist, your expertise will be invaluable to the multidisciplinary team in the Rehabilitation Unit, treating our Day Therapy patients and co-ordinating the Day Therapy service.You will work with Nursing staff, Visiting Medical Officers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Dieticians and Pharmacists to ensure best patient outcomes are achieved.As an Occupational Therapist you will be experienced in providing exceptional service to adult patients and contributing to a multidisciplinary team, managing caseloads, measuring outcomes and dedication to continuous improvement.
You will be expected to have a strong understanding of the requirements for contributing to a safe workplace in a rehabilitation environment.About youThe successful applicant will possess:Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (no restrictions)Previous experience as an Occupational Therapist in a Rehabilitation settingStrong organisational and time management skillsKnowledge and skills in assessment and management of patients with reconditioning and orthopaedic conditions.Knowledge and skills in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions is desirable, but not essentialDemonstrated ability to provide exceptional occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, managing caseload priorities and discharge planningYou will be a strong and confident communicator, communicating effectively with patients, families and professional colleagues at all times.Why join us?Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.We are a leader in healthcare, education and research — and that's because we employ exceptional people.
