The role
As an IT Operations Specialist, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless operation and security of our IT systems, networks, and devices.
Your expertise will be critical in providing fast, reliable technical support to our team, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining the integrity of our infrastructure.
You will be responsible for driving IT efficiency and security across the organisation, contributing to the stability and success of our 24/7 trading operations.
Responsibilities
Provide quick and effective IT support to staff by resolving hardware, software, and network issues, keeping our teams operational to enable a 24/7 trading desk.
Monitor and maintain our IT infrastructure and devices—desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and networks—to bolster security, optimise performance and enable efficient disaster recovery.
Maintain security and compliance in order to meet our global regulatory obligations, including ownership of software to support these requirements.
Ensure rigorous governance protocols for movement of crypto assets are implemented, monitored and being adhered to, with a stringent change management process.
Enhance IT security by enforcing protocols, conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits, to safeguard against breaches.
Maintain a stable network by identifying and addressing vulnerabilities for uninterrupted operations.
Regular purchases of new hardware to support a growing company.
Set up and configure devices, managing the IT onboarding process for new hires.
Keep accurate records of all hardware devices, and ownership of software subscriptions to manage costs, and ensure uptime and availability.
Manage the offboarding process by ensuring secure data transfer and backups, deactivating accounts, and recovering company assets.
Be proactive in identifying and recommending opportunities for improved security performance optimisation across the organisation.
Train employees on new tools and software updates to maintain compliance and boost productivity.
Experience we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of IT support in fast-paced environments, with a focus on security and compliance.
Proficient in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, and hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals).
Strong understanding of network infrastructure (routers, switches, VPNs) and cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
Experience with IT governance, security protocols, audits, and disaster recovery planning.
Familiar with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
Interest in cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology is a plus.
