Information Security Operations Manager

Security (Information & Communication Technology)Full timeWe are seeking an Information Security Operations Manager to be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the organisation's information security, and the network of Advice Practices within the AFSL.In this newly created role, you will ensure the protection of information assets by managing security incidents, implementing security policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Information Security Operations Manager collaborates with various departments to mitigate risks and secure the implementation of new technologies.Reporting to the Executive General Manager of Technology, this role will also liaise with our Managed Service Provider, to ensure appropriate oversight.Key responsibilities will include:Develop and Implement Security Policies- Assist to develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.- Ensure that all policies align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.- Support the review and approval of policies to our Advice Practice Network.Manage Security Incidents- Manage and respond to security incidents, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting.- A member of the incident response team in coordinating actions and remediating vulnerabilities.Monitor Security Alerts and Vulnerabilities- Oversee the monitoring and analysis of security alerts and vulnerabilities.- Implement proactive measures to address potential threats.Conduct Security Assessments and Audits- Perform regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.- Report findings and recommend corrective actions where necessary.Collaborate on Secure Technology Implementation- Work with IT and other departments to ensure the secure implementation of new technologies and systems.- Provide advice on security considerations during project planning.Provide Security Guidance to Teams- Offer guidance and support to the information security team and other staff on security-related matters.- Ensure that staff are trained on security protocols and aware of potential threats.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are highly desirable.Proven experience in information security operations, including incident response and vulnerability management.Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to information security.Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and standards is highly desirable.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.What We Offer:A supportive and collaborative work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Competitive salary and benefits package.
