About the Role:We are seeking a Security Operations Manager Location - THQ Blackburn, VIC for a full-time - Permanent opportunity.Purpose of the Role: Ensure The Salvation Army (TSA) has effective controls in place to mitigate the organisation from cybersecurity risks.Provide backup leadership and management capability to the GM Cyber, Risk & Compliance and perform the role when the GM is absent.Key Roles and Responsibilities:Security Operations Manage the cybersecurity operations function for The Salvation Army Australia.Lead the response for all cybersecurity incidents and update the General Manager Cyber, Risk & Compliance on the status for all major incidents.Provide technical and operational leadership to the IT department and the broader TSA as required.Monitor and manage incident response collaboration effectiveness with other support teams across TSA.Design and educate others on security baselines for systems and applications.Provide subject matter expertise to the cybersecurity team, other support teams and all other departments across TSA when required.Provide responsive support for problems found during normal working hours as well as outside normal working hours.Develop, collate and provide regular cybersecurity metrics that show the level of effectiveness of controls.Training and Awareness Develop the cybersecurity awareness strategy.Conduct and monitor awareness programs according to the strategy.Evaluate the effectiveness of awareness and training programs and implement improvements.Provide expert guidance on the area of cybersecurity to ensure other support areas are implementing controls in a secure manner.Provide knowledge and awareness sessions to TSA personnel on how to recognise and respond to suspicious cyber activities.Research and Evaluation Maintain up to date knowledge on cybersecurity vulnerabilities, emerging risks, and industry developments.Maintain knowledge on cybersecurity technologies in use at TSA as the technologies are upgraded and enhanced.Stakeholder Engagement Provide leadership to the cyber operations team to ensure an efficient and effective operations service.Step in and perform the GM Cyber, Risk & Compliance role when the GM is absent.Provide technical expertise to the leadership team in design solutions to ensure incorporation of security best practice requirements.Participate in meetings/forums representing operational security requirements.Develop strong relationships with key personnel of service providers.Manage relationships with other leaders across TSA to ensure cyber operational services are fit for purpose.Education Qualifications: Minimum 5 years in a similar role and previous experience in a leadership role essential.Experience with various security solutions such as cloud security posture management, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, web filtering, malware analysis, security awareness, & email filtering.Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, COMPTIA+, ISACA, ISC2) desirable.Proficient skills in networking, infrastructure and cloud technologies.Experience with Microsoft Azure & Active Directory.Requirements of the role: A National Criminal History Check is required.What we offerAs a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as;
