Using the latest in aviation, medicaland communications technology, we deliver extensive health care and 24-houremergency service to those who live in and travel through remote, rural andregional Australia.We are offering you an excitingopportunity to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section (RFDSSE)as the Head of Risk and Assurance.The RoleBased in Sydney, Dubbo or Broken Hill (yourchoice) this is an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Management team asour Head of Risk and Assurance.You will lead a team of highly motivated safety professionalsworking across our organisation on safety management system activities,ensuring operations align with regulatory and company standards.This role requires outstanding leadership and crossfunctional teamwork capability, and a commitment to upholding the higheststandards of safety and compliance.Lead theongoing development of the Safety Management System (SMS) across the organisation,fostering a strong safety culture.Ensurecompliance with the Air Operators Certificate (AOC) requirements, WHS regulatoryrequirements, and ISO 9001 standards, while managing the Corporate EmergencyResponse Plan and safety training programs.Overseesafety and security reporting, including analysis of incidents, hazards, andaccidents, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectivelyimplemented.Maintain opencommunication across the RFDSSE Teams and regulatory bodies on safetyperformance and compliance matters.Monitor theSafety and Quality Management Systems' objectives and ensure performance alignswith organisational goals, reporting updates to the Board of Directors, CEO andExecutive Team.Manage safety performance of personnel, contractors, and third-party suppliers, ensuring adherence to safety policies, training requirements, and operational procedures.What's in it for me?Acompetitive salary.

Proven experience: Aviation industry background with a strong focus on safety management - CASA acceptable credentials Regulatory knowledge: In-depth understanding of CASA regulations.
Leadership & collaboration: Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and staff management skills to inspire and guide our teams.
Analytical problem solver: Excels in analytical reasoning, conflict resolution, and decision-making with attention to detail and urgency.
