About the role: As a Senior Accountant, you'll work within a close-knit team to provide exceptional advisory and compliance services to a client portfolio with large group structures and an average turnover of $50 million.
Our team primarily supports clients in the property and construction sectors, handling a wide range of multi-layered advisory work.
Other responsibilities include: Preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and management reports for various entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
Ensuring accurate preparation and timely lodgment of BAS, IAS, FBT returns, and other statutory obligations such as payroll tax and WorkCover.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Assisting in the training and development of junior accountants, providing guidance with their work to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
Staying updated with the latest accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations to ensure firm compliance and provide informed advice to clients.
About you: You are a professional individual who aligns with our CARE values (Collaboration, Agility, Respect, Enthusiasm), someone who wants to add value to a team and firm looking to make the right move for their career, ideally possessing the following highly desirable attributes: 3 - 5 years' experience in Public Practice CA/CPA qualification Experience working with larger client groups Ability to complete preparation of financial statements and tax returns for corporate groups with high attention to detail.
Personal aspirations to learn new aspects of business advisory services and provide quality end results for clients.
Ability to research on topics as required with assistance from manager.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and confidently.
Commitment to building client relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
Have a proactive approach in your role as Senior Accountant, to actively analyse, identify and implement solutions.
Possess a strong degree of accuracy and keen eye for detail.
