Assistant Accountant - Senior Payroll As the Assistant Accountant / Senior Payroll, you are to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this senior-level role requires expertise in payroll systems, compliance with Enterprise Agreements, and effective risk management.
Permanent position, Level 7Senior PayrollMinimum 5 years experienceKey Responsibilities Payroll Management: Handle end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements and Awards.Compliance and Reporting: Maintain statutory compliance, prepare payroll reports, and support audits.Strategic Input: Advise on payroll systems, recommend process improvements, and contribute to long-term planning.Risk Mitigation: Identify risks in payroll operations and implement solutions to address them.Qualifications and Skills Essential Education: Diploma or degree in accounting, payroll, or related field.Experience: Minimum 5 years of senior payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.Technical Proficiency: Expertise in payroll systems; Kronos experience is highly advantageous.Attributes Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage complex tasks and make sound decisions under pressure.Core Competencies Payroll Expertise: Deep knowledge of systems like Kronos and statutory obligations.Leadership: Drive payroll outcomes and align processes with organisational goals.Compliance: Ensure adherence to legislation and proactively manage risks.Why This Role?
