We have experienced immense recent growth which has created an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant within our Corporate Finance / Administration Team based at Eagle Farm. This newly created position is ideal for an Accountant looking to start their professional career in the automotive industry. The role will rapidly grow your knowledge and skills through training and exposure to a wide range of accounting across our group of businesses, internal reporting, external reporting, accounts management, complex transaction processing and plenty moreWhat's in it for you:Great remuneration and acknowledgement of a job well done.Training and career progression opportunities for the right person.Mentoring from our leaders to ensure your ongoing improvement and development.Diverse team plus the opportunity to interact with many different stakeholders and departments.Job security with an established company of over 25 years that is continually growing.Full-time role working Monday to Friday, due to commence in either December 2024 or January 2025.Key duties and responsibilities include:Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual reconciliations of various accounts and companies.Assist with the auditing of the group's general ledger accounts.Work with Group Financial Controller to assist with developing structured internal reporting.Processing of new and used unit sales to the general ledger.Accounts receivable tasks - recording of sales in the various systems and record against payments, prepare AR reports and reconciliations on a timely basis, and liaise with clients on invoices due for payment.Accounts payable tasks - record purchases and payments to suppliers, daily reconciliation of banking transactions, maintain supplier accounts and liaise with employees on supplier invoice approval.Handling account related queries and calls.Provide general ad hoc support to the Group Financial Controller as required.To be successful, you will require the following:Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Finance.Demonstrated understanding of intercompany finance, accounting, budgeting and statutory financial reporting and the ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail whilst meeting deadlines.A high level of Microsoft Excel and computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn how to operate and apply computer applications.Well-developed communication, time management and inter-personal skills.A genuine passion for your career, and a desire to develop new skills and take on new responsibilities.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a high level of self-motivation.Brisbane Isuzu is a family owned business with over 25 years experience We are looking for the next Finance/ Accounting superstar to join our familyIf you believe you possess the skills we are looking for and would like to bring your skills and enthusiasm to our team apply nowYour application will include the following questions:How many years of accounting experience do you have?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Do you have reconciliations experience?How many years' experience do you have as an assistant accountant?Have you completed a chartered accountant (CA) qualification?Do you have experience using Microsoft Excel?
