We are looking for dedicated Consultant / Specialists Obstetrics and Gynaecology - to provide high quality evidence based and patient focused clinical services.

DEPARTMENT :
Busy birthing suite (approx.
650 deliveries p.a.)
and outpatient clinics (including ANC, Gynaecology, High Risk Obstetrics and Colposcopy) Surgical services including minimally invasive, open and laparoscopic surgery JMO support (Accredited Registrar + / - Rural Generalists, SRMO and RMO) Links to a well-established Department of Paediatrics with Special Care Nursery Close relationship with the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health with teaching students in Year 3 – 5 of the Joint Medical Program.
Appointment as a Conjoint Academic is encouraged (level commensurate with qualifications and experience) Location :

Skills & Qualifications required :
A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and / or overseas trained specialist pathways.
Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Evidence of being a scholar, maintains medical professional development and has the ability to assist other staff, including trainees in the acquisition and development of knowledge.
Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, students, other health professionals and the public.
