Established in 1974 by Peter Smith, SCT is now a national, multi-modal transport and logistics company.
In June 1995 SCT Logistics became the first private rail operator to commence services on the interstate rail network which coincided with the completion of the standardisation of the rail gauge track between the states in Australia.

Development and growth opportunitiesEmployee Recognition and Rewards ProgramsFlexible working arrangementsTop up of government paid parental leave for the first six weeksNovated leasing and salary packaging24 / 7 Access to our Employee Assistance ProgramOnsite car parkDress for your day policyJob Description Responsibilities : Perform financial analysis of existing business operations and key business drivers to support the decision-making process.Analyse existing underperforming areas in the operation and translate the financial ramifications and opportunities to improve.Deliver to management the financial forecasts for all Victorian profit centres in a timely manner.Utilise the shared services finance centre to prepare financial results as required.Be a key contributor and influencer in the team through the provision of appropriate financial information and overall business acumen.Support the CFO and Commercial Manager Logistics with ad hoc projects and analysis requirements as they arise.Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications : Sound commercial awareness and knowledge of business strategies to continuously improve.Ability to interpret financial information and articulate these to non-financial specialists.Sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products.
Experience with SAP is also an advantage.A proven capability to read and understand commercial contracts.Ability to prepare 3-way financial forecasts.Capability to leverage existing financial information to provide timely information to management.Other Important Information : We reserve the right to commence recruitment proceedings prior to the stated closing date.The successful candidate will have to undertake an Australian Federal Police check and Pre-Employment Medical (for certain roles) which will be arranged and paid for by SCT.Recruitment companies need not apply.SCT is an equal opportunity employer and we recognise the value and importance of diversity.
