About UsSince starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 18 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand.
We are hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate engineers and geologists who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction infrastructure and energy sectors.Our Ballina office in Northern New South Wales is an easy commute from Byron and Lennox Head and an easy 5 minute drive from East Ballina.
The office opened in response to growing project demands in the region, largely due to remediation works following the 2022 floods.The team of 8 is looking for an experienced geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist to help deliver local projects.
You'll work closely with our principal geotechnical engineer to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions in the Northern Rivers.
Equally, you'll support, develop, and oversee the junior staff as they build their career in the geotechnical space.What You'll Need5+ years experience in a geotechnical consultancy, with at least two years in Australia or New Zealand.A Civil Engineering, Geology or Earth Science DegreeCPEng, alternative relevant professional registration (AGS-Eng Aust, AusIMM, IPENZ Prof. Eng Geo) OR progressing formal application towards CPEng or relevant professional registration.Full Australian work rights (we are not able to offer sponsorship for this position)Experience training and developing junior engineers / geologists.Good interpersonal skillsExceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and writtenWhat You'll GetAdditional Day Leave on BirthdayProvision of minimum of 50 hours Training / CPD per year and paid membership to Engineers Australia / Engineers New ZealandFast-track CPEng pathwayOffice social events throughout the yearFlexible working arrangementsAccess to an employee discounts and rewards programUnfortunately, we cannot provide sponsorship for this position, and we are looking for a professional with local experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
