ABOUT THE ORGANISATIONOur client is an award-winning engineering consultancy experiencing rapid growth with expertise across Structural, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering services.
The company operates on a national level with multiple office locations and works in partnership with some of Australia's best-known engineering institutions.
Due to significant demand, the company is expanding their services and requires an expert Associate Geotechnical Engineer in Sydney to orchestrate and support this growth within the NSW region.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYBased in Sydney's CBD, you will oversee the expansion of a new geotechnical team, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise.
You will oversee geotechnical investigations within the Sydney basin, working to AS1726 standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Associate Geotechnical Engineer to take the next step in their career in an exciting, challenging, and highly supportive environment.You will perform a varied and crucial role within the business, with responsibilities including but not limited to:Directing the growth and expansion of a new Geotechnical Engineering teamPerforming and overseeing Geotechnical investigations within the Sydney and wider NSW regionLiaising with and managing a broad range of internal and external stakeholdersProviding training, assistance, and mentoring to other staff and project membersBuilding business-critical relationships and identifying new business opportunitiesActing as an SME on national and TfNSW standards and implementing them accordinglyABOUT YOUTo be successful in this Associate Geotechnical Engineer role, you should have:A degree background in Geology, Geotechnical or Civil EngineeringProject management experience in relation to Geotechnical Investigation workDeep understanding of foundations, retaining walls, slope stability investigations, pavement designs, and earthworks supervisionExpert knowledge of AS1726 and national / regional geotechnical standardsA current driver's license and valid working rights in AustraliaMane Consulting specializes in Geotechnical and Engineering focused opportunities.
