VDS has seen tremendous growth over the last 5 years; hence, the exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Production Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
As Production Manager, you will have the following responsibilities and duties:
Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate specifications and comply with the required quality.
Approve the instructions relating to production operations and ensure their strict implementation.
Ensure that the production records are evaluated and signed by an authorized person.
Ensure all production equipment is maintained and in safe working condition.
Ensure continuous improvement on production outputs while seeking efficiencies to be of economic benefit to the company and production.
Develop IQ, PQ, and OQ documents on all equipment used in the manufacturing process.
Reduce downtime in production setup and runtime by reflecting on past production runs and learning from previous experience.
Ensure the qualification and maintenance of their department, premises, and equipment.
Ensure that the appropriate validations are done.
Ensure that the required initial and continuing training of their department personnel is carried out and adapted according to need.
Compile a works program on a weekly basis in conjunction with the Warehouse and Procurement Manager.
Work closely with the Quality Manager to jointly exercise the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the Pharmaceutical Quality System.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
At least 8 years of expertise working as a Production Supervisor in a TGA certified facility.
Production Management certification will be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Hands-on and able to problem solve.
Good working knowledge of the basic Microsoft suite.
Good interpersonal skills.
Highly conscientious and diligent.
