Senior Datawarehouse Architect / Datawarehouse Technical ManagerWe are seeking a Senior Data Warehouse Architect / Data Warehouse Technical Lead with 10+ years of hands-on experience in delivering data warehousing (DW) and reporting solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong data warehousing background, knowledge of analytics tools, and experience with cloud-based technologies.
Domain expertise in the health insurance industry is strongly preferred.This role demands excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure the efficient delivery of end-to-end data solutions that align with business needs.Key Responsibilities:Architecture and Design:Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data warehouse solutions.Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Define data integration and ETL strategies to ensure seamless and accurate data flow across systems.Optimize data storage, query performance, and overall system architecture.Technical Expertise and Delivery:Manage and oversee ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability.Recommend and implement tools and technologies for DW and analytics platforms.Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.Establish and enforce best practices for development, deployment, and system maintenance.Leadership and Collaboration:Mentor and lead teams of data engineers, analysts, and developers.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Work closely with DevOps teams to manage cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and technical challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Project Management:Prioritize and plan data warehouse initiatives to meet organizational objectives and deadlines.Manage resources, timelines, and budgets for data-driven projects.Ensure the successful delivery of data solutions that enhance reporting and decision-making processes.Qualifications:Required Skills:Mandatory 5+ years of experience in data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and reporting.Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and database optimization.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).Strong knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and reporting frameworks.Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.Preferred Skills:Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Knowledge of real-time data processing tools (e.g., Kafka, Apache Flink).Certifications in cloud platforms or data tools (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer Associate).Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Please note: This role requires you to work from the client office 3 days a week (Sydney CBD).Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a Data Warehouse Architect?How much notice are you required to give your current employer?
