Fitzroy Mining Operations is a new force in the Queensland metallurgical coal mining industry with a portfolio of existing operations and a pipeline of growth projects.
In our short history, we have successfully reinvigorated operations at Carborough Downs underground mine, breathed new life into the Broadlea open cut and we also have our new underground longwall mine at Ironbark No.1.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Senior Recruitment Advisor will oversee the development and implementation of an effective and efficient high volume shared service recruitment function for blue collar and staff roles through effective use of technology and best practice recruitment methodologies.

Your portfolio will include two underground mines, a small open-cut mine and a process plant (CHPP) located in the Moranbah region as well as Brisbane based corporate support functions.
You will work in close collaboration with an enthusiastic and passionate team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality recruitment service, supporting the growth and success of an organisation with an exciting future.

This role is based in the Brisbane corporate office and will require occasional travel to our sites in the Bowen Basin.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience within the mining, resources or heavy industry sectors Significant experience in an internal resourcing function managing end-to-end recruitment processes from sourcing, selection to hire Experience recruiting blue-collar (operational), technical and corporate function positions Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships to engage and influence stakeholders High attention to detail and an understanding of key recruitment metrics for the purpose of collating data for reporting requirements Confidence in the use of technology including Excel and systems, to maximise reach through use of electronic media platforms and experience in implementing and/or using HRIS Recruitment Modules Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with HR peers Enthusiasm, a positive, proactive approach with an appetite for continuous improvement
