Applications are now open for a part time Mental Health Clinician to join the team at Lismore Medicare Mental Health Centre.
As one of our Mental Health Clinicians you will access and deliver high-quality, evidence based psychological interventions based on the person's mental health needs and goals.
Through the Medicare Mental Health Centre model, an increased frequency and flexibility of client contact is possible, thereby ensuring optimal intervention and progress towards positive outcomes.
Depending on resources and client need, in-reach (centre-based) services are delivered to Medicare Mental Health Centre clients, allowing direct support in environments in which symptoms or functional difficulties are experienced by clients.
A range of on-site complementary services are available when additional supports are required.

Professional development and training opportunities provided Consulting rooms, activity space and resources On a day-to-day basis you will Work with all members of the team to develop a shared change plan clearly articulating each team member's specific responsibilities Conduct clinical assessments and collaboratively develop case formulations and treatment plans for people with moderate, severe, and complex mental health difficulties Conduct risk assessments and develop thorough and practical risk management plans Deliver individualised, evidence-based psychological interventions Provide client-centred care to people, incorporating family and significant others where appropriate.
Maintain up-to-date, high-quality, contemporaneous client records and comply with data collection standards Attend case review meetings and participate in individual supervision, peer reflection and team meetings About you: Are you a professional, innovative, and caring clinician who thrives as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and enjoys working with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in providing health, mental health, and psychosocial services?
We're also looking for: Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing or other clinical discipline related to mental health.
Registration with the appropriate professional body such as AHPRA or AASW Experience working with peoples' mental health and well-being, leading to the provision of inclusive and high-quality therapeutic services, with a solution and changed based focus Skills and experience in the assessment, formulation, diagnosis, and provision of evidence-based psychological treatments of mental health disorders Experience conducting risk assessments of people and developing and implementing risk management plans, including delivery of crisis intervention Highly developed interpersonal communication and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to involve other staff actively and appropriately, clients, their families, and significant others in the delivery of service where appropriate Specialist training in the assessment and treatment of severe mental health disorders such as Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders or Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is desirable If this sounds like you this is what you will need to get started: Current Driver Licence Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one Current Police Check Be part of an exciting time of growth and opportunity in an organisation that you can be proud of being a part of.
