Located in the Brisbane CBD, the Department of Health (the Department) has an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a workforce planning specialist to join the recently formed Workforce Planning Advisory Team.
This role will be a part of a team that will provide advice and coordinate the development and implementation of workforce planning strategies, frameworks, tools and reporting mechanisms across Queensland Health.

In your role as the Senior Advisor, Workforce Planning you will contribute to the development and implementation of workforce planning activities across Queensland Health.
The current focus of the role will be to provide support and expertise in the delivery of major infrastructure projects as part of Queensland's largest health capital program.
The role will provide advice on workforce planning strategies, frameworks, and tools while undertaking continuous review to identify improvement opportunities to support the achievement of organisational objectives.

The successful person
The essential requirements for this role are:
A detailed understanding of leading practice workforce planning principles and methodologies and the ability to apply this knowledge in a large, complex organisational environment.
Ability to partner with key stakeholders to implement workforce planning tools and resources in a large, complex service delivery organisation.
Ability to apply project management tools and techniques to successfully deliver projects in a complex and dynamic setting.
High level interpersonal, problem solving, facilitation, and client relationship management skills, with an ability to partner with key stakeholders to meet strategic outcomes while building strategic relationships.
