Senior/Project EngineerListed 01/11/24Mining Contract or TempBrisbaneWe are exclusively partnering with a Tier-1 Mining Asset Owner to source an experienced Senior/Project Engineer to provide support on the planning and delivery of sustaining capital projects across a complex brownfield environment. You will provide technical and project management guidance throughout the full lifecycle of road construction packages and other civil related infrastructure works. This client-side position involves flying to a remote mine site in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 roster engagement.Accountabilities:Supporting multiple projects and project managers concurrentlyDriving and coordinating projects from an engineering, cost, schedule, and quality perspectiveManage engineering partners through concept and detailed design phase, including document reviews, organizing design reviews, responding to technical requests, and liaising with stakeholdersSupport construction teams by providing technical guidance in the field during execution activitiesEngage and foster relationships with internal (projects, operations, maintenance) and external (design consultants, construction contractors) stakeholder groupsAbout You:Tertiary Qualification within Civil EngineeringStrong project management experience working on road construction or expansion projects is a MustProven exposure to government related works with an understanding of TMR and/or DIPL requirementsSite experience in a remote mining setting is seen as highly beneficialDemonstrable ability to manage capital projects concurrently with an understanding of all projects deliverablesStakeholder engagement and management of contractors/EPCM'sCommercial acumen and the ability to manage a budget and interact across business functionsBenefits:Work within a Tier-1 mining asset owner environmentAn opportunity for the right individual to make the move from the construction industry into the mining sectorStrong project pipeline - offering long term securityContribute to a range of projects that have strong community and environmental focusDiverse, inclusive environment with a focus on development and autonomyGreat FIFO lifestyle in a beautiful setting located at the top of the Northern TerritoryThis position offers challenging technical engineering work, with a genuine long-term opportunity to contribute to sustainable mining operations over the forthcoming years.
