About the role
Eastern Health is seeking an experienced leader to undertake the unique role of Program Director Medical Imaging.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Mental Health and Clinical Support, this pivotal role provides strategic leadership of the Medical Imaging program ensuring an efficient, quality and patient-focussed service.
The Program Director is responsible for the operational and financial management of the Medical Imaging service and will provide expert knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the Medical Imaging specialty.
The role will drive policy and service development, planning and evaluation initiatives and provide authoritative advice regarding Medical Imaging service delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: responsible for day-to-day operations, workforce planning, equipment quality and compliance.Financial Management: budget and financial planning, monitor financial performance and identify cost-reduction opportunities.Quality and Compliance: ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies, implement quality improvement initiatives and oversee regular audits.Project Management: lead projects to improve service delivery and patient satisfaction.Team Management: lead Medical Imaging Program Senior Management team, cultivating a culture of driven, engaged and effective professionals. To be successful in this role you will possess:
Proven experience in leadership and operations management specific to Medical ImagingExperience in strategic planning, financial management and service developmentPost Graduate qualifications in Healthcare Management/LeadershipA strong commitment to high quality care and team developmentThe ability to work as part of a diverse teamExcellent communication and organisational skills
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice).
Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
