Chief Financial Officer / Company SecretaryAbout the role:As the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at BTC Health, you will play a vital role in supporting this Australian ASX-listed company's strategic direction and growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this full-time position will oversee all financial operations and provide expert financial leadership.
You will be responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting to ensure the continued success of this dynamic and fast-growing healthcare organisation.What you'll be doing:Financial Leadership and AnalysisManage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and capital management.Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and accounting standards.Manage group tax strategy, compliance and reporting.Valuation analysis and reporting.Maintain inventory controls, analysis and reporting.Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional areas to identify growth opportunities, operational efficiencies and cost savings.Build strong relationships across the organisation and with external advisers, bankers, shareholders and suppliers.Financial Reporting and Stakeholder CommunicationsEnsure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of all financial statements, forecasts, and reports for executive review and board and shareholder meetings.Oversee the external audit processes, ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.Partner with the CEO/MD as a liaison to the board of directors, shareholders, and external stakeholders, providing insights and updates on financial performance, projections, and capital strategy.Communicate financial insights and implications of business decisions to stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations.Maintenance and input into the company website and external investor communications.Capital Allocation and Corporate DevelopmentEvaluate, structure, and oversee capital investments and other high-impact financial projects.Implement investment strategies that optimise returns while supporting the company's growth, innovation, and sustainability goals.Lead valuation analysis and due diligence for potential business acquisitions, ensuring alignment with the group's financial goals.Review and provide input into third-party legal contracts.Company Secretarial and Corporate GovernanceMaintain robust risk management controls, governance, and financial policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Ensure compliance with the Pooled Development Fund Act and ASX listing rules.Maintenance of Board and statutory company records.Timely lodgement of all ASX notices, reports and financial statements.Administrative SupportManage and ensure the integrity of the company's IT/ERP system.Manage and maintain employee records, payroll, remuneration plans and employment policies.What we're looking for:Proven track record as a Chief Financial Officer or senior finance executive, preferably in the healthcare industry.Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.Understanding and experience of the equity capital markets and ASX-listed company rules.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and contribute to a high-performing team.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred.A minimum of 5 years of public company secretarial experience; Corporate Governance qualification preferred.What we offer:At BTC Health, we are committed to providing our employees with a rewarding and fulfilling work experience.
