The Role Our fast-growing Telecommunication business unit is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager for our national portfolio.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a vibrant team and play a key role in our corporate financial roadmap.
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
The focus of this position is to maintain and enhance the financial integrity of the business unit.
Your expertise will elevate our journey by ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, resulting in well-informed project decisions.
Responsibilities include:
Control and administer the Line of Business' general accounting activities, ensuring that practices and procedures are kept up-to-date and compliant.Prepare comprehensive financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
Your reports will supply crucial data that fuels our senior management's informed business decisions.Enable and support project decision-making through your insightful reporting and detailed analysis of financial trends and outcomes.Ensure accurate forecasting which enables our contracts to be managed effectively, thereby reducing financial risk.Manage and control the monthly reporting function to ensure timely and accurate output.Lead and build a spirit of excellence within your finance team: your leadership is key in managing, mentoring, and developing the team's skills and growth.About You Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant disciplines.At least 5 years' experience in a financial management role.Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, preferably with SAP or similar products.Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Expertise in financial management and accounting principles.Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate complex financial information in an understandable manner.Ability to contribute across various operations, add value to the business decision-making process, and effectively forecast trends that can predict pitfalls before they materialise.Benefits You'll Enjoy Job security with a strong pipeline of work.Educational and leadership development opportunities.Company paid Salary Continuance Insurance.Discounted private health insurance.Dedicated wellness program & rewards.Exclusive staff discounts across various categories.Career pathways within UGL and the larger CIMIC Group.About UGLUGL is well-known and respected for providing end-to-end engineering, construction and maintenance services within rail and transport, communications and technology systems, oil and gas, power, renewables and resources, water and defence markets.
