Why you should join our mission: Unique opportunity to join a rocket company based on the Gold Coast, AustraliaExperience the buzz of working and contributing towards a rocket launch- Join the team now to be onboard in time for our launch dateWork in a passionate, vibrant and welcoming team that emphasizes safety and conducts initiatives such as team BBQsExpand your skills and knowledge into the innovative aerospace industryHow you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space: Leading a team of the Flight Safety EngineersMaintaining the company's SQE certificationFacilitating Risk Hazard AnalysesFacilitating Orbital Debris AssessmentsMay require taking on Responsible Engineer (RE) status of the Flight Safety SystemSupporting the development of Flight Safety SubsystemsEngaging and coordinating with Range SafetyEngaging and coordinating with external regulatory agenciesSupporting the development of Engineering Management Processes and ToolsEnsuring that engineering activities are conducted and documented in accordance with Gilmour Space policies, plans and proceduresOther duties as requested by ManagementMandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a relevant qualificationJunior Lead: 2+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)Senior Lead: 5+ years of engineering experience (excluding internships)Senior Lead: Maintains or is eligible for CPENG and RPEQIn-depth understanding of Traditional and Modern Systems Engineering practicesProven ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environmentsDemonstrated resilience in high-stress situationsNV1 Security Clearance eligibleCompliance with the Defence Trade Controls Amendment Act 2024Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 2+ years of design engineering experience5+ years of System Engineering experience5+ years working in the aerospace industryIn-depth experience with industry standard Flight Safety Standards (RCC-319, etc.
)In-depth experience with Australian Flight Safety policy (Flight Safety Code, Launch and Returns Act / Rules, etc.
