Established in 1978 and now part of the SCEE Group, Heyday has delivered hundreds of projects for clients in the commercial buildings and fit-outs, hotels, retail, high-rise residential, maintenance services, infrastructure, transport, defense, industrial, education, health, and data centre sectors.
Heyday brings together strong industry knowledge, technical expertise, experienced project planning, and management acumen on every contract.
About the Role At Heyday, we are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team on a full-time basis in our Sydney Office.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Contracts Manager will provide commercial and contractual support to both the pre-contract phase and post-contract operations.
In addition, some of your key tasks will include:
Ensure that the correct commercial processes are in place and that they are correctly followed and implemented.
Continually support and grow good commercial and contractual acumen within the project teams.
Provide effective contractual input into tender reviews.
Ensure effective contract administration across all projects.
Support the Operations Manager in the delivery of tendered margin on all projects.
About You To be successful in this position you will bring your extensive contracts management experience working within a contractor environment along with your tertiary qualifications in commerce, law, accounting, or related field as well as your high-level understanding of contract administration principles and commercial acumen.
You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple work packages and interface with internal and external customers.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
The ability to multitask, prioritise own workload, and work unsupervised.
Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail.
The ability to read and interpret contract documents and technical specifications.
